Campus Pride celebrates our 20th Anniversary this year as a national organization building future leaders and safer, more inclusive campus communities. The Shame List is still online and last year was rebranded as the Worst List. As it mentions online: "colleges & universities listed have chosen to openly discriminate against LGBTQ youth and/or have requested Title IX exemptions to perpetuate the harms of religion-based bigotry." If Belmont Abbey College has rescinded their Title IX religious exemption that allows them to openly discriminate against LGB and particularly trans students, then please do contact us. I would encourage the campus to look toward the future and the arc of justice. There are a growing number of religious campuses that affirm LGBTQ youth for all of who they are and do so in practice and in policy. Thank you.
